Senior Fullstack Developer (React/Ruby)

What you will do

• Become an expert in the technical systems supporting the veterinary care platform.
• Collaborate with product, growth, design, operations, and other cross-functional teams to improve the member experience.
• Plan, execute, and release technical projects.
• Guide technical decisions related to infrastructure, architecture, operability, and scalability.
• Implement features across web and mobile clients.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across front-end, back-end, and microservices systems.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant Full Stack Developer experience.
• Experience with ReactJS or NextJS and back-end frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Django, or Laravel; strong preference for ReactJS and Ruby on Rails.
• Expertise in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Python or Ruby.
• Understanding of MVC design patterns, testing frameworks, browser debugging tools, and performance testing.
• Experience with application architectures such as microservices and monoliths, including debugging microservices.
• Proficiency in English is required for regular communication with clients and partners outside Quebec. Strong communication, troubleshooting, prioritization, mentoring, and collaboration skills are also required.

Nice to have

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in startups or fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with multiple application architectures.
