Electrical Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Redmond, WA, United States. Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for authorization under U.S. export regulations.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year for Level I, $120,000–$175,000 per year for Level II, and $160,000–$200,000 per year for Level III.

What you will do

• Design and develop high-reliability electronics for space-based data processing centers.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts using ECAD tools such as Mentor Graphics and Altium Designer.
• Perform signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal analyses for space-ready designs.
• Own electrical component lifecycles from concept through manufacturing, testing, deployment, and orbital operation.
• Design and execute validation plans covering vibration, thermal cycling, radiation, environmental, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, supply chain, and vendors to deliver reliable, manufacturable space-qualified hardware.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in electrical design, analysis, testing, and/or manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ECAD software and experience with PCB design, layout, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal management.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, or eligibility under U.S. export regulations is required.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when necessary for critical project milestones.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical design and analysis, especially in aerospace, space, or data processing.
• Expertise in high-speed digital, RF, and power electronics.
• Programming experience with Python or C/C++ for automation and data analysis.
• Experience designing PCBs for space applications and radiation-hardened electronics.
