Senior Revenue Recovery Specialist

Location: Remote - Nationwide, United States. The role requires willingness and ability to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.

Salary: $22.45–$24.70 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Research patient accounts to identify underpayments through automated prediction rules and manual analysis.
• Communicate with payors, file underpayment appeals, resolve account variances, and follow up through recovery of outstanding payments.
• Identify and address root causes of underpayments, denials, and delayed payments with client teams.
• Maintain accurate activity records in the client host system, hirify.global IQ, and other tracking systems.
• Communicate trends and issues to management and recommend improvements.
• Meet established productivity and quality standards while multitasking across client work.

Requirements

• Three to five years of experience in the hospital or physician insurance industry or another revenue cycle environment.
• Thorough understanding of applicable state and federal insurance regulations and payor-specific requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to multiple client host systems and operate Microsoft Office programs.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations when business needs require.
