Revenue Specialist, Worker's Compensation (REMOTE)

What you will do

• Analyze workers’ compensation claim payments using proprietary software and determine whether providers were reimbursed according to applicable state fee schedules and PPO contracts.
• Research and obtain medical records, implant manufacturer invoices, and other supporting documentation for hospital claims.
• Submit claims and supporting documentation to insurance companies to facilitate accurate and timely reimbursement.
• Prepare workers’ compensation initial bill packets and appeal letters.
• Conduct telephone follow-up with payers and act as a liaison between clients and insurance companies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in healthcare billing or collections.
• At least 1 year of client-facing or customer service experience.
• Intermediate understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and related data requirements.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and independent-work skills.

Nice to have

• At least 1 year of experience with workers’ compensation billing and collections.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree.
