Founding iOS Engineer (Swift)

Location: In person at the NYC headquarters, New York, NY

Salary: $190,000–$210,000 base salary per year, plus equity

hirify.global operates a hospitality marketplace that provides day access to luxury hotel experiences and connects guests with more than 2,500 partner hotels and resorts.

What you will do

• Own the native iOS app across search, discovery, property details, booking, account, and post-booking experiences.
• Build the iOS codebase from the ground up, including architecture, state management, networking, observability, testing, CI/CD, and release processes.
• Partner with Product, Design, Backend, Data, and company leadership to deliver polished mobile experiences.
• Shape the mobile app and long-term mobile platform strategy, including API contracts and mobile-first opportunities.
• Drive performance, reliability, analytics, offline handling, error states, and app stability.
• Set engineering standards and help attract, mentor, and build the future iOS team.

Requirements

• Must work in person at the NYC headquarters.
• 5+ years of experience building production iOS applications at meaningful consumer-facing scale.
• Strong command of Swift and modern iOS development patterns, including experience with polished native experiences.
• Experience leading or significantly influencing architecture decisions for substantial iOS codebases.
• Strong engineering fundamentals in code quality, testing, observability, release reliability, and operational ownership.
• Ability to collaborate with backend engineers on APIs, data contracts, and systems tradeoffs.

Nice to have

• Experience building high-quality consumer products at top engineering organizations or elite startups.
• Experience with zero-to-one product development and building engineering culture.
