Technology & Innovation Organization Electrical Engineering Internship (Embedded Systems)

Location: Corvallis, Oregon, United States. Candidates must currently be eligible to work in the US and must be able to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2027 without requiring future sponsorship.

Pay: $29–$35 per hour for US candidates.

What you will do

• Develop UEFI/BIOS code for hirify.global Workstations.
• Troubleshoot complex technical problems in Personal Systems projects.
• Gather training data for AI models.
• Apply electrical engineering concepts to real-world hardware and software challenges.
• Participate in a 12-week paid summer internship involving technical projects, networking, and community activities.

Requirements

• Complete the third year of university or the first year of a master’s program, typically in a technical discipline.
• Current US work eligibility and ability to obtain US work authorization in 2027 without future sponsorship.
• Knowledge of circuit analysis and design, analog and digital electronics, PCB design, and schematic capture.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, power supplies, and soldering or hardware assembly techniques.
• Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, digital logic, FPGA basics, power electronics, control systems, signal processing, or basic RF and wireless concepts.
• Relevant majors include electrical engineering, computer engineering, electronics engineering, mechatronics, systems engineering, physics, or computer science with an embedded systems or firmware focus.
