People Operations Leader

Location: London; fully office-based with attendance required five days per week

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop the People Operations team while setting direction and improving execution.
• Own the People Operations strategy and AI-enabled transformation agenda across payroll, compensation, reporting, and operational workflows.
• Design scalable systems and automation targeting 80–90% automation of day-to-day processes.
• Build people data infrastructure and self-serve dashboards covering headcount, attrition, hiring pipeline, and compensation.
• Own compensation and role governance, including salary bands, benchmarking, and levelling frameworks.
• Advise Finance, Legal, and business leaders while institutionalising goal-setting, management operations, and internal knowledge systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in consulting, business operations, finance, or a fast-growing startup, including experience leading a function or team.
• Experience building systems and processes from scratch and operating them at scale.
• Strong analytical skills, including dashboard development, data analysis, and metric-driven decision-making.
• AI-native approach with practical use of AI tools to accelerate work and automate manual processes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional influencing skills.
• Proven ability to build, manage, and develop high-performing teams.
