Strategic Finance Manager (Fintech)

Location: New York, hybrid

Salary: $140,000–$165,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and improve financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Own recurring monthly and quarterly reporting, variance analysis, KPI tracking, and leadership dashboards.
• Support headcount planning and maintain capacity models as the business grows.
• Analyze go-to-market performance, including pipeline conversion, marketing ROI, CAC, payback, retention, and unit economics.
• Prepare analyses for capital and resource allocation decisions and help develop board and investor materials.
• Support the rollout of FP&A tooling and data integrity initiatives in partnership with the data team.

Requirements

• Experience in investment banking and private equity, ideally with a couple of years in each.
• Strong, fast, and accurate financial modeling skills in Excel, including driver-based models.
• Experience with SaaS metrics and unit economics, including retention, CAC, payback, and LTV/CAC.
• Ability to operate independently in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and take ownership of deliverables.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present analysis and make key takeaways obvious.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS, fintech, payments, or tax.
• Fluency with SQL and BI tools such as Looker, Hex, or Sigma.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, board reporting, FP&A, or ERP tooling such as NetSuite, Pigment, or Anaplan.
