FP&A Manager

Location: Hybrid in the United States, with hubs in Austin, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, and the Washington, DC metro area. Employees near a hub must work from the local office at least 2 days per week or 8 days per month; employees not located near a hub may work fully remotely with occasional internal travel.

Salary: $129,000–$198,000 base salary per year, depending on location, plus $12,500–$26,000 in equity.

What you will do

• Advise VP and C-level leaders across R&D and G&A on resource allocation and investment decisions.
• Lead monthly forecast reviews and provide actionable performance insights.
• Own forecasting, budgeting, multi-year planning, and budget-versus-actuals analysis.
• Build financial models with scenario, sensitivity, and probabilistic analysis.
• Develop KPI frameworks, executive dashboards, and clear financial narratives for varied audiences.
• Scale FP&A processes and systems through automation, AI, standardized methodologies, and self-service analytics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of FP&A experience in high-growth SaaS or technology companies.
• Experience partnering directly with VP and C-level executives on strategic planning and decision-making.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills using Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with FP&A systems such as Abacum, Anaplan, or Adaptive, and BI tools such as Looker.
• Strong understanding of SaaS metrics including LTV/CAC, Rule of 40, and unit economics.
• Structured problem-solving, executive communication, ownership, and the ability to work through ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Experience with IPO readiness, pre-IPO financial rigor, or investor-grade processes.
• Experience supporting a shift from growth to profitability and modeling margin expansion.
• Experience with business model transitions from a single product to a platform or multi-product company.
• Experience implementing AI or automation in financial processes or analytics.
