Manager of Finance (Fintech)

Location: New York City, United States (Hybrid)

Salary: $145,000–$165,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Build strategic models for new initiatives, investment opportunities, and business scenarios, and present recommendations for long-term planning.
• Maintain and improve three-statement and unit economics models while partnering with functional leaders on forecasts and budgets.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for hirify.global and its parent company, Upbound.
• Analyze financial performance, unit economics, cash flow, and working capital to provide actionable insights to executive leadership.
• Partner cross-functionally to translate financial data into strategic decisions and clarify the financial impact of business activities.
• Design scalable finance processes, automate operations using AI/LLMs, and eventually hire and manage a Financial Analyst.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in FP&A or strategic finance at a high-growth, consumer-focused company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and GAAP.
• Experience with customer unit economics, including LTV:CAC, retention, ARPU, and three-statement modeling.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, plus experience with ERP systems and BI tools.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work cross-functionally, and explain complex financial information to senior leaders and diverse audiences.

Nice to have

• Investment banking or consulting background.
• Fintech, lending, or subscription business experience.
• CPA or CFA certification.
• Familiarity with SQL or Oracle Smart View.
