Propulsion Development Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $95,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Own propulsion component and subsystem development from design and analysis through implementation and operation.
• Perform analysis and testing to verify hardware performance and functionality.
• Plan and execute tests ranging from engine hotfires to valve functional testing.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to deliver reliable, integrated spacecraft systems.
• Resolve technical issues and lead projects involving spaceflight hardware.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
• At least 2 years of experience in aerospace propulsion.
• Knowledge of fluids, thermodynamics, heat transfer, mechanics, and materials.
• Ability to perform system trades, including thermal-fluids analysis and materials selection.
• Hands-on experience with fluid, mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
• Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements as a U.S. Person or be eligible to obtain an applicable export license.

• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience delivering hardware development projects under cost and schedule constraints.
• Proficiency with CAD software and ability to learn new tools.
