Propulsion Development Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite. Flexible schedule and travel may be required.

Salary: $95,000–$135,000 per year, plus potential stock options and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the design, analysis, implementation, testing, and operation of propulsion components and subsystems.
• Plan and execute tests ranging from engine hotfires to valve functional testing.
• Conduct analysis and testing to verify hardware performance and functionality.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations to deliver reliable, integrated propulsion systems.
• Resolve technical issues and lead projects involving spaceflight hardware.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
• 2+ years of experience in aerospace propulsion.
• Knowledge of fluids, thermodynamics, heat transfer, mechanics, and materials.
• Ability to perform thermal-fluid analyses, system trades, and materials selection.
• Hands-on experience with fluid, mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
• Must be a U.S. Person or eligible to obtain a U.S. export license under ITAR/EAR requirements.

• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Hardware development experience under cost and schedule constraints.
• Proficiency with CAD software and ability to learn new tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
