TL;DR
Senior Propulsion Structural Analyst, Integrated Design (Aerospace) (Finite Element Analysis/CAD): Analyzing thermal, structural, dynamic, and durability performance for Aeon-R engines, 3D-printed components, mechanical assemblies, and integrated engine structures with an accent on reliability, manufacturability, and qualification. Focus on developing analysis methods, guiding mechanical and manufacturing design decisions, and executing hands-on tests with instrumentation and data processing.

Location: Long Beach, California, United States

Salary: $132,000–$198,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Perform thermal, structural, dynamic, and durability analyses for Aeon-R engines and subsystems.
  • Analyze 3D-printed engine components, complex mechanical assemblies, and integrated engine structures.
  • Guide design decisions to meet reliability and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical designers and manufacturing engineers on engine and vehicle programs.
  • Develop and execute development and qualification tests, including test article integration, instrumentation setup, and data processing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, technology, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably with complex engineering systems.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis.
  • Experience with computer-aided design software.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and ability to deliver on ambitious schedules.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing liquid propulsion components and systems.
  • Experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, or ANSYS Workbench.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and aerospace standards.
