What you will do

• Own the overall layout, design, analysis, and build of hardware for Aeon-R propulsion systems.
• Design, analyze, and optimize engine hardware in collaboration with propulsion, vehicle, manufacturing, integration, and test teams.
• Apply fluid, thermal, and structural analytical and computational models to inform designs.
• Evaluate engine assembly layouts and design trades against weight, cost, lead time, and part count.
• Lead individual propulsion projects through completion in an ambiguous, fast-moving development environment.
• Support the full product lifecycle of Aeon-R engine systems, from development and testing through launch and reuse.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
• Experience with computer-aided design software and mechanical design.
• At least 2 years of experience with engine design.
• Experience applying fluid, thermal, and structural fundamentals.
• Ability to lead projects independently and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, integration, and test functions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Experience with finite element analysis and tools such as Ansys, Abaqus, or Nastran.
• Experience managing large CAD models, engineering changes, and configurations.
• Experience designing liquid propulsion components and systems.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards such as AS, NAS, and SAE.
