Location: Full-time onsite in Long Beach, California, United States; approximately 25% travel to test and launch sites, rotating first- and second-shift schedules, and occasional weekend work for critical milestones.

Salary: $132,000–$198,000 USD annually, plus equity.

hirify.global is developing the Terran R launch vehicle, rocket engines, and manufacturing systems for commercial orbital launch services.

What you will do

  • Serve as the Responsible Engineer for integrated propulsion test articles.
  • Develop test plans with product owners and execute test campaigns with the Stennis test team.
  • Own exploratory operation and evaluation of new and existing test article designs.
  • Write test sequences and code, review data, design tooling, perform hands-on hardware work, and operate consoles during hotfire tests.
  • Support subsystem troubleshooting, product investigations, engine system analysis, simulation, and trade studies.
  • Contribute to stage testing and flight campaigns, including launch operations, test objectives, and flight concepts of operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in complex engineering system development and/or test environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, technology, or mathematics.
  • Experience applying engineering fundamentals in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to lead high-ownership projects to completion on ambitious schedules.
  • Ability to work onsite in Long Beach, California, travel approximately 25%, and work rotating shifts.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to test operations environments.
  • Knowledge of combustion devices, valves, heat exchangers, or instrumentation.
