Data Center Operations Manager (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; onsite responsibility for data center and lab sites.

What you will do

• Own the setup, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of onsite and offsite data center and lab infrastructure for software, test, proof-of-concept, and hardware engineering teams.
• Plan infrastructure growth across power, rack space, cooling, and colocation sites.
• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, server systems, power and cable management, specialized equipment, and software tools.
• Document assets and topologies, manage maintenance windows, and coordinate security patches and upgrades with IT.
• Establish data center operational standards, best practices, and scalable infrastructure processes.
• Manage equipment and service vendors to support cost-effective and timely delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus at least 5 years of experience in lab administration or IT infrastructure management.
• Experience designing and implementing data centers, including power management, rack selection, and cabling and optics technologies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take initiative, ask clarifying questions, and drive solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Understanding of networking principles and technologies such as TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Familiarity with lab automation tools and scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
