Senior Engineer Safety

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States; onsite at the facility

Company

Develops premium smart electric vehicles and next-generation automotive technologies, including autonomous driving systems.

What you will do

• Develop and release vehicle interior components and subsystems into production.
• Collaborate with attribute leads, engineering teams, manufacturing, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Support component sourcing and supplier coordination to ensure timely delivery for vehicle builds.
• Use CATIA V5/V6 for packaging, integration, and detailing of interior components.
• Execute quality and robustness activities, including DFMEA and DVP&R.
• Support prototype and production builds while resolving fit-and-function issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, an equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of automotive engineering experience involving the design and release of interior systems.
• Experience with CAD design tools and processes.
• Experience overseeing production drawing releases.
• Ability to work autonomously, communicate with stakeholders, and manage rapid development cycles.

Nice to have

• Experience working with industrial design on concept feasibility.
• Track record of delivering products from concept through launch.
• Experience with experimental hardware and fast-paced development environments.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
