Vehicle Product Design Architecture, Integration Lead

Location: Palo Alto, United States. Work arrangement: On-site.

Salary: $250,000–$291,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.

What you will do

• Own the top-level CAD assembly of a lightweight four-wheeled vehicle platform.
• Develop occupant packaging, ergonomics, body structures, and subsystem integration.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering and industrial design to resolve packaging and interface issues.
• Lead design reviews, clash management, packaging trade-offs, and cross-functional alignment.
• Establish structured system-integration workflows and timelines in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Support the transition from prototype to production through documentation and coordination with manufacturing and supply chain.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical design and system integration, preferably in automotive, ATV, UTV, or related vehicle platforms.
• Expertise in 3D CAD, preferably CATIA, including complex top-level assemblies with occupant environments and structural systems.
• Proficiency with PLM systems, part structures, and release processes.
• Experience designing and integrating major vehicle subsystems while balancing A-class surface requirements.
• Ability to lead cross-functional integration efforts and bring complex platforms through launch.
