Associate, Human Capital

Location: Boston or New York City, United States; full-time in-office presence five days per week

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 base salary per year

What you will do

• Execute executive searches with internal stakeholders and external search firms, including pipeline tracking, candidate coordination, briefing materials, and interview-feedback synthesis.
• Support pre-investment talent diligence by assessing management teams, identifying leadership gaps, and preparing insights for investment discussions and Investment Committee review.
• Monitor CEO and senior-executive performance, team composition, succession planning, development priorities, and talent needs across portfolio companies.
• Build relationships with executives, operators, and functional leaders while developing pipelines for CEO, CFO, CRO, CTO, CPO, board, and other leadership roles.
• Conduct targeted research and market mapping across healthcare, software, internet, data infrastructure, and tech-enabled services.
• Improve talent data systems, templates, reporting, compensation datasets, workflows, and portfolio-wide talent programs.

Requirements

• 2–4+ years of experience in executive search, talent, recruiting, or a related environment.
• Strong relationship-building skills with senior executives and experience representing an organization externally.
• Demonstrated networking and pipeline-development experience across relevant sectors.
• Strong project-management, analytical, communication, and information-synthesis skills.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams with ownership, attention to detail, and strong follow-through.
• Comfort working with data systems and structured processes; experience in healthcare, technology, growth products and services, or private equity is preferred.
