What you will do

  • Develop CMM inspection programs for aerospace components and support multiple machining processes and products.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineering to create inspection processes aligned with business goals.
  • Provide technical expertise in machining process development, quality verification, probing, and fixturing solutions.
  • Prepare formatted reports, CNC programs, and operator documentation.
  • Interpret engineering prints using GD&T standards and edit legacy CMM programs.
  • Mentor entry-level CMM personnel, perform inspections, and pursue manufacturing process improvements.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of quality-control experience in aerospace or a comparable industry.
  • CNC CMM programming experience.
  • Proficiency with GD&T according to ASME Y14.5-2018.
  • Proficiency with hand gauges, including micrometers, dial indicators, and profilometers.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with required PPE, stand for extended periods, lift at least 50 pounds, and meet the specified visual-acuity requirement.

Nice to have

  • ISO 17025 or AS9100 experience.
  • Tooling and fixturing design experience.
  • Experience using CAD models for inspection.
