Propulsion Component Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite

Salary: $100,000–$155,000 per year

What you will do

• Own spacecraft component design from concept through product realization.
• Create detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Perform fluid, thermal, and structural analyses as required.
• Coordinate material procurement, part fabrication, and hardware assembly with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Provide technical support for propulsion test operations.
• Resolve technical issues with innovative and resourceful engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
• 3+ years of experience in valve or component design.
• Hands-on experience with fluid and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software and ability to learn new tools.
• Ability to perform structural and thermal analysis in support of design.
• Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and operating high-reliability, high-performance hardware.
• Experience with on-orbit propulsion components.
• Experience in a startup or agile development environment.
