Propulsion Component Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite

Salary: $100,000–$155,000 per year

What you will do

• Own spacecraft propulsion component design from concept through product realization.
• Generate detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Perform fluid, thermal, and structural analyses to support component design.
• Coordinate material procurement, part fabrication, and hardware assembly with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Provide technical support during test operations and resolve hardware issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
• 3+ years of experience designing valves or other components.
• Hands-on experience with fluid and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with CAD software and ability to learn new tools.
• Experience with requirements definition, conceptual design, procurement, fabrication, assembly, and hardware testing.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and operating high-reliability, high-performance hardware.
• Experience with on-orbit propulsion components.
• Experience in a startup or agile development environment.
