TL;DR
Linux Systems Engineer (Aerospace): Building and scaling secure enterprise infrastructure across Linux and Windows platforms, on-premises and cloud environments, virtualization systems, and mission-critical operations with an accent on automation, deployment, containerization, and high availability. Focus on integrating Linux with Active Directory, designing Ansible and Terraform-based provisioning, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, and building monitoring and alerting systems.

What you will do
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers and workstations in production environments.
- Integrate Linux systems with Windows infrastructure, including Active Directory, authentication, and file services.
- Automate configuration management and Linux provisioning with Ansible, Kickstart, cloud-init, and Terraform.
- Support containerized workloads using Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes across VMware, cloud, and bare-metal environments.
- Monitor system performance, implement high-availability and security practices, and build monitoring and alerting systems.
- Collaborate with networking and systems teams to resolve complex connectivity, deployment, and infrastructure issues.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of Linux systems administration experience with RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar distributions.
- Experience integrating Linux systems into Windows environments using Active Directory, LDAP, and SSO.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
- Experience with Linux provisioning and deployment tools such as Kickstart, cloud-init, or Terraform.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and VMware or similar virtualization platforms.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, and complex troubleshooting.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP hybrid and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or comparable monitoring and logging tools.
