TL;DR
Systems Engineer (Gaming): Deploying and integrating Windows Servers, SQL Servers, VMware environments, networking configurations, and shared storage for proprietary gaming applications with an accent on systems integration, virtualization, and complex troubleshooting. Focus on executing multi-project installations and upgrades, resolving deployment issues at client sites, and coordinating technical systems engineering work across frequent domestic and selective worldwide travel.
Location: Work from home 100% of the time or work from one of the global offices; frequent travel across the US and selectively worldwide is required.

What you will do
- Deploy, install, and upgrade systems supporting more than 20 proprietary gaming applications.
- Configure and support operating systems, relational databases, network infrastructures, virtualized environments, and shared storage.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting during complex integrations, upgrades, and installations.
- Travel to client sites across the US and selectively worldwide for frequent, extended assignments.
- Take ownership of assigned systems engineering tasks and grow into Lead Systems Engineer responsibilities for specific client projects.
- Work with engineering management on an individualized technical development plan.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in systems installation, maintenance, upgrades, network security, or network technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong experience with SQL deployment and administration.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, up to 70%, including assignments lasting 2–3 weeks.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong troubleshooting, adaptability, initiative, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Windows Server, Enterprise Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- SQL Server administration and Transact-SQL experience.
- VMware, Hyper-V, SAN configuration, and virtual infrastructure administration.
- Enterprise networking, load balancing, hardware/software setup, and network design experience.
- CMDB, ITIL, PowerShell, VBScript, or JavaScript experience.
- Relevant Microsoft, VMware, networking, or SAN certifications and ability to pass security investigation requirements.
