Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY; primarily onsite at the SoHo office

Salary: $180,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead implementation of the systems that power and scale the business.
• Identify and resolve system bottlenecks as the technology stack matures.
• Partner with Product to deliver impactful, measurable, and testable customer solutions.
• Coach and mentor engineers on development best practices when appropriate.
• Advocate for effective technology and tooling to improve the development experience.
• Contribute to operational excellence across the platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience, excluding education and internships.
• Experience with both backend and frontend development.
• Experience with React and modern frontend frameworks and tools.
• Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial data, investment tools, or financial markets.
• Familiarity with Airflow or an equivalent pipeline management system.
• Experience with Python, Golang, or TypeScript.
