Software Engineer, Product Experience (TypeScript/Go)

Location: United States (Remote)

Base salary: $150,000–$240,000+ per year, excluding benefits and potential equity.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain user-facing Buyer Solutions applications across frontend and backend layers.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and engineers to create intuitive software experiences.
• Build frontend components with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and data visualization tools.
• Implement backend APIs and middleware in Go and Python, integrating them with databases and blob storage.
• Manage authentication, authorization, sessions, and tokens using platforms such as Clerk or Auth0.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability while evaluating evolving tools and architectures.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in both frontend and backend software ecosystems.
• Experience with TypeScript and React, plus backend development with Go or Python.
• Ability to translate complex product requirements into functional software and collaborate across engineering and design.
• Strong commitment to test-driven development, software quality, and timely delivery.
• Ability to use generative AI tools in day-to-day software development.
• Senior or Staff-level software development experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Expertise with TypeScript and Go, with advanced Python experience.
• Experience with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and Buf’s Connect SDK.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, blob storage, CDNs, and edge server solutions.
• Experience building UI kits, design systems, or component libraries.
• System design, architecture, and technical project management experience.
