Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid setup with an expectation of 4 days in the NYC office

Salary: OTE $150K–$225K annually, plus equity and bonus

What you will do

• Own substantial user-impacting projects from design through build and rollout.
• Participate in code reviews and system design reviews.
• Drive improvements to internal processes, developer tools, infrastructure, and technical systems.
• Understand user needs and contribute to product discovery and prioritization with leadership, product management, and design.
• Support team growth through hiring and mentoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building complex applications with modern programming languages such as Python and/or TypeScript.
• Track record of shaping and shipping valuable features.
• Experience driving high-leverage improvements to infrastructure and development processes.
• Sound judgment when managing technical debt and technical risk.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Comfort using modern AI tools to accelerate development.

Nice to have

• Previous startup experience.
• DevOps or platform/infrastructure experience, or a strong interest in these areas.
• Experience with AI prototyping tools such as v0, Lovable, or Replit.
