CMM Operator | Quality

Location: South Burlington, Vermont, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Salary: $26–$36 per hour

What you will do

• Perform dimensional inspections of aerospace components using multiple coordinate measuring machines.
• Validate new and legacy CMM programs and develop probing and fixturing solutions.
• Inspect parts against engineering drawings using GD&T standards.
• Provide formatted inspection reports for engineering, CNC programmers, and operators.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineering teams to improve inspection and machining processes.
• Provide technical expertise in machining process development and quality verification.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of quality control experience in aerospace or a comparable industry.
• Experience with GD&T according to ASME Y14.5-2018.
• Experience using hand gauges such as micrometers, dial indicators, and profilometers.
• Strong communication skills and experience with an ERP system.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment while using OSHA-required PPE.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift at least 50 lb, and meet OSHA distant visual acuity requirements of at least 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without corrective lenses.

Nice to have

• ISO 17025 or AS9100 experience.
• Experience with CNC CMMs and CMM software such as Calypso, PolyWorks, or PC-DMIS.
• Tooling and fixturing design experience.
• Experience using CAD models for inspection.
