AI Senior Software Engineer - Data Team (AWS, Flink, OpenSearch)

Location: Seattle, Washington; Atlanta, Georgia; San Francisco, California; or Sandy, Utah, United States. The role is based in Atlanta and requires reasonable overlapping hours with teams in Salt Lake City and Pune.

What you will do

• Design scalable, fault-tolerant, secure streaming architectures for enterprise data platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, performance-tune, and capacity-plan distributed streaming systems.
• Implement security controls, automation, and operational best practices.
• Integrate streaming platforms with data lakes, Snowflake, analytics platforms, and downstream systems.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and platform automation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience administering Kafka and distributed streaming systems.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services, including MSK and Kinesis.
• Experience with OpenSearch, Linux administration, automation, and scripting.
• Python development experience and platform reliability engineering skills.
• Ability and motivation to learn and implement evolving technologies.
• Ability to work from one of the listed United States locations and maintain reasonable overlapping hours with distributed teams.
