Senior Software Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Salary: $160,000–$215,000 estimated annual base salary, plus equity

What you will do

• Architect and evolve AWS cloud infrastructure across Kubernetes, Elastic Container Service, Lambda, EC2, and data stores.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership, machine learning, data science, and product partners on the platform vision.
• Develop tooling that improves engineering productivity and developer experience.
• Promote sustainable incident response and lead blameless post-incident reviews.
• Manage network and systems monitoring, design alert strategies, and participate in an equitable on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on infrastructure or platform development experience in modern cloud-native environments, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience owning critical production systems and operating Kubernetes in production, including cluster lifecycle management, scaling, and container security.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Bash, plus familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi.
• Strong familiarity with AWS and/or GCP, networking fundamentals, and command-line Linux environments.
• Experience designing complex systems, mentoring others in technical design, scoping project work, and delivering projects independently.
• Clear, respectful communication and collaboration skills, including delegation and feedback.

Nice to have

• Deep Linux troubleshooting, including kernel and driver debugging.
• Experience in regulated environments such as HIPAA or at early-stage startups.
• Healthcare, security, or machine learning background.
• Familiarity with HL7, radiology workflows, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Spark, or Hadoop technologies.
