TL;DR

Salary: $85,000–$115,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes across product development, manufacturing, testing, and field operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, airworthiness, program operations, and supply chain teams to identify and mitigate quality risks.
  • Perform root cause analysis, failure investigations, and corrective and preventive actions for product issues.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, and applicable aviation quality standards and industry practices.
  • Review design changes, engineering specifications, and test plans, and participate in product validation and verification.
  • Lead cross-functional problem-solving, monitor quality metrics, and provide training on quality tools and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, aviation, or high-reliability manufacturing, preferably in aviation or defense.
  • Experience with program-level quality engineering, risk management, and CAPA processes.
  • Knowledge of FMEA, 8D, root cause analysis, SPC, statistical tools, and quality management software.
  • Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment and move through production, test, and hangar areas as needed.

Nice to have

  • Experience with composite materials, electric propulsion systems, battery technology, or aviation subsystems.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and FAA/EASA guidelines.
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification.
  • APQP, PPAP, DFM, or DFR experience.
