Engineer II-Quality (Manufacturing)

Location: MA - Beverly Tozer, United States. Travel required domestically and internationally up to 25%. Access to U.S.-controlled technology requires U.S. citizenship, permanent U.S. residency, or protected-individual status.

Salary: $68,640–$143,000 annual base salary, depending on location, skills, and experience. Total compensation also includes restricted stock units and quarterly bonuses.

What you will do

• Support manufacturing operations by identifying, analyzing, and resolving product and process problems using Six Sigma methods.
• Audit manufactured goods and supplier processes for compliance with engineering, manufacturing, and configuration-control standards.
• Support contract manufacturers during product transfers, new product introduction, and engineering or process changes.
• Perform First Article Inspections for PCB assemblies, prefabricated parts, sheet-metal parts, and systems.
• Analyze nonconformities and failures, perform root-cause and corrective-action investigations, and track actions in Agile PLM.
• Report material and product-quality trends to management and collaborate with suppliers, inspectors, and engineering on corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field plus four years of quality experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, preferably printed circuit board design or electronics assembly.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, 8D, Lean quality practices, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, plus knowledge of Minitab SPC.
• Ability to work independently and communicate and collaborate effectively.
• Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements for access to controlled technology, materials, software, or hardware.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 auditing, GD&T, IPC-610, and J-STD-001.
• Interest in additional training and becoming a lead trainer for internal certifications.
