Lead Systems Engineer - Cryogenics

Location: On-site in Broomfield, Colorado, United States. Candidates must be U.S. Persons and must not be nationals of China or Russia unless also a U.S. citizen.

Salary: $152,000–$190,000 annually, including bonus target.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight for cryogenic distribution, industrial gas, environmental control, and mission-critical facility infrastructure.
• Define system architectures, technology roadmaps, engineering standards, requirements, trade studies, design reviews, and system acceptance activities.
• Act as the technical authority for integration, reliability, safety, and scalability across cryogenic, fluid-handling, controls, and power systems.
• Lead resolution of complex technical and operational challenges, including risk management and decision-making across projects and stakeholders.
• Coordinate engineering disciplines, facility operations, safety organizations, contractors, vendors, and external partners.
• Lead commissioning, operational readiness, lifecycle performance initiatives, and the transition of prototype technologies into production infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of experience delivering complex facility or infrastructure systems, preferably involving cryogenics, fluids, or industrial gases.
• 5+ years of experience with engineering design and analysis software such as ASPEN, EcoSim, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Onshape, or similar tools.
• Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or worker granted asylum or refugee status.
• Due to national security requirements, candidates must not be nationals of the People's Republic of China or Russia unless also a U.S. citizen.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in mechanical, chemical, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering efforts through design, integration, commissioning, and operational handover.
• Expertise in cryogenic safety, hazard analysis, regulatory compliance, systems engineering, requirements management, verification and validation, configuration management, and lifecycle engineering.
• Experience with major facility upgrades, pilot plants, data-center-class infrastructure, or large-scale cryogenic installations.
• Experience developing technical strategies, roadmaps, standards, governance processes, and engineering talent.
