Proposal Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Redondo Beach, United States. U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations is required for ITAR compliance.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year.

What you will do

• Write and edit technical proposals for competitive business opportunities, with a focus on U.S. Government programs.
• Own the proposal process and improve its efficiency and repeatability.
• Analyze, understand, and summarize complex customer requirements.
• Break proposal efforts into tasks, coordinate inputs from technical experts, and maintain proposal schedules.
• Develop supporting graphics and proposal materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, readability, and compliance with submission rules.
• Support technical white papers and other writing, editing, and communication needs across the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a writer and/or editor.
• 2+ years of experience publishing professional documents.
• Ability to communicate technical material clearly and professionally.
• Proficiency in planning and managing schedules.
• Expert English-language writing skills and eligibility to work with ITAR-controlled technology in the United States.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience writing government proposals or grants.
• Engineering, science, journalism, English, technical writing, or professional writing degree.
• Aerospace technical knowledge and experience managing large writing projects.
• Experience writing academic papers or technical white papers.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and an active TS/SCI clearance.
