Program Manager (Spacecraft)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite. Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain the required U.S. export license under ITAR/EAR regulations.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 per year, plus potential stock options and benefits.

What you will do

• Organize multidisciplinary teams across spacecraft development, qualification, acceptance, and flight campaigns.
• Lead requirements definition, schedule development, resource allocation, configuration management, and build-and-test planning.
• Identify program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive reliable mission execution.
• Define and document critical processes for high-reliability spacecraft programs.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, integration and test, supply chain, and customer teams.
• Track program health, timelines, deliverables, stakeholder alignment, proposals, resources, and contracts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or complex technical program management.
• Demonstrated experience managing hardware programs through development, test, production, and delivery.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Smartsheet.
• U.S. Person status or eligibility to obtain a U.S. export license is required.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of program experience with launch vehicles, spacecraft, or propulsion systems.
• Hands-on familiarity with systems engineering and integration processes.
• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Understanding of FAA and DoD regulatory environments and launch campaign logistics.
