What you will do

  • Design, build, integrate, and flight-test RF telemetry systems for propulsion vehicles.
  • Lead the architecture and selection of radios, antennas, telemetry hardware, ground stations, and ground-station networks.
  • Conduct link analysis across supersonic and hypersonic flight regimes and deconflict frequency plans.
  • Define system requirements, perform trade studies, assess risks, and recommend mitigations.
  • Develop and maintain hardware-in-the-loop test environments for software development, integration, and verification.
  • Support ground and flight testing, environmental qualification, troubleshooting, technical documentation, vendor coordination, and cross-disciplinary system integration.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in RF telemetry for rocket, missile, or space applications.
  • Experience with link analysis for flight vehicles in supersonic and hypersonic regimes.
  • Experience writing requirements, conducting trade studies, and selecting onboard antennas and radios.
  • Experience designing and implementing ground systems, grounding, bonding, shielding, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and system integration.
  • Experience with environmental testing, qualification, troubleshooting, and external vendor or supplier coordination.

Nice to have

  • Experience with small-vehicle avionics teams and multiple launch campaigns.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, or MIL-STD-1553.
  • Experience managing contractors and contributing to design or flight safety reviews.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Culture & Benefits

  • 401(k) plan and stock options.
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Flexible Friday schedule and unlimited PTO.
  • Professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborative work across Flight Software, Avionics, IT, GN&C, Aerodynamics, Structures, Manufacturing, and Quality.
