Sr. ASIC Design Engineer (AI)

Salary: $135,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement video compression, image processing, vector computation, and flexible compute systems for edge AI and LLM inference.
• Develop processor cores and memory subsystems for automation, robotics, and low-power embedded systems.
• Perform logic design, RTL implementation, verification, and front-end methodology and flow development.
• Synthesize and optimize RTL for timing, area, and power.
• Model micro-architecture and architectural tradeoffs using scripting languages.
• Develop unit-level test environments, participate in chip bring-up, and review code and functional coverage.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in electrical, electronics, or computer engineering.
• 0–5 years of experience.
• Good understanding of computer architecture, logic design, and VLSI design.
• Knowledge of SystemVerilog, Verilog, Python, Perl, design verification, and functional coverage.
• Ability to write scripts and assembly language programs.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of logic synthesis and timing closure.
