Mission Manager (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Act as the primary interface for government customers, supporting status briefings, milestone reviews, and stakeholder communication.
• Own the coordination, review, approval, and timely submission of contract deliverables, including documentation, engineering artifacts, schedules, and required reports.
• Develop program schedules, milestones, and work breakdown structures while tracking cost, schedule, and performance baselines.
• Coordinate suppliers and contractors, including onboarding, subcontracts, statements of work, work packages, and performance milestones.
• Facilitate cross-functional coordination across engineering, logistics, safety, security, operations, and finance.
• Maintain risk registers, manage scope changes, assess impacts, and support budget, funding, and resource planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s or PhD is preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience managing complex technical programs or infrastructure projects, preferably in aerospace, defense, or R&D.
• Experience executing deliverables under contract for a government customer and applying project management practices for scheduling, risk analysis, and budget planning.
• Familiarity with propulsion test infrastructure, ground test facilities, or aerospace systems integration.
• Experience managing external suppliers and contractors in complex technical environments; proficiency with tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Confluence.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; Top Secret clearance is preferred.
