Project Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA; onsite or remote within the United States

What you will do

• Develop program budgets and schedules for lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, spacecraft, and related mission concepts.
• Define end-to-end mission concepts and support proposals for NASA, government, and commercial customers.
• Manage schedules, resources, risks, budgets, deliverables, and customer interfaces for technology development projects and architecture studies.
• Build bottom-up estimates covering bills of materials, cash flow models, and labor requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering disciplines, partners, customers, vendors, and supply-chain organizations to resolve technical risks and challenges.
• Participate in cross-functional planning to align project execution with mission needs and the company technology roadmap.

Requirements

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline, plus 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience; an advanced degree may substitute for equivalent experience.
• Experience in project or program management, project finance, and program planning.
• Experience developing proposal content and external customer presentations.
• Experience authoring and decomposing financial and contractual volumes.
• Strong understanding of launch, space, and lunar environments.
• Applicants must be a U.S. Person under ITAR and EAR requirements and eligible to obtain required export authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with the full development lifecycle of large, complex aerospace systems.
• Experience with large NASA or other U.S. government proposals and contracts.
• Knowledge of NASA and industry engineering standards.
• Agile experience with tools such as Confluence and Jira.
• Eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
