Mission Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, United States. In-person collaboration is expected at the Playa Vista office. U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.

Salary: $135,000–$165,000 annual base salary, plus equity.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary customer contact throughout satellite bus development.
• Coordinate deliverables across design, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Build and manage project schedules, milestones, and contractual deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, roadblocks, and schedule issues.
• Translate technical information for customers and resolve project concerns.
• Improve project management processes and tools while supporting customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• U.S. Person status is required for access to export-controlled data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of technical project management experience, preferably in the space, aerospace, or defense industry.
• Experience managing complex technical projects with tight timelines.
• Understanding of satellite technology, systems, and current space-industry trends.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, customer service, and project management software skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree.
• PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.
