Receiving Inspector (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Los Angeles, United States; working hours are 6:00am–3:00pm with overtime as needed.

Salary: $30–$45 per hour, plus equity.

What you will do

• Receive and inspect inbound electronics and EEE components used in flight spacecraft builds.
• Perform visual and workmanship inspections of PCBAs, harnesses, connectors, cables, and other electronic assemblies.
• Review certificates of conformance, packing lists, inspection reports, and related hardware documentation.
• Identify, document, and track non-conformances and discrepancies in the ERP system.
• Maintain flight-hardware traceability, support cycle counts, and deliver inspected parts to inventory or production.
• Improve receiving inspection practices and mentor less experienced inspectors.

Requirements

• U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.
• Experience inspecting electronics or EEE parts and assemblies in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
• Exposure to AS9100 or ISO9001 quality systems and familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 workmanship standards.
• Understanding of GD&T fundamentals and experience recording inspections, discrepancies, and traceability in an ERP or MRP system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to lift, stand, push, pull, and perform material-handling tasks while working onsite.

Nice to have

• Experience with J-STD-001 or J-STD-001 with Space Addendum.
• Forklift or material-handling equipment experience.
• Experience inspecting flight hardware or hardware used in aerospace, defense, space, or medical industries.
