Head of EHS and Facilities

Location: Must be based in Huntington Beach, CA (On-site)

Salary: $150,000 – $170,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Lead all aspects of EHS and Facilities, including workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and infrastructure design.
• Establish a unified EHS and Facilities operating system across all sites to ensure consistency and safety during rapid scaling.
• Build and manage a high-performing team of EHS and Facilities engineers embedded in operations.
• Define and implement risk-based safety strategies, transitioning from reactive management to proactive hazard elimination.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to optimize facility layouts for safety, flow, and production scalability.
• Own incident management, regulatory reporting, and contractor safety qualification systems.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (ITAR/EAR compliance required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience, including 2+ years leading and managing teams.
• 2+ years of experience in EHS program implementation and infrastructure reliability/maintenance.
• Deep knowledge of Cal/OSHA regulations and 40 CFR Hazardous Waste Management.
• Experience scaling operations from prototype to rate production in high-reliability industries like aerospace or defense.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO9001 frameworks.
• Experience with digital quality systems and MES integration.
