Production Planner (Aerospace)

Location: Santa Maria, California, United States; the role operates in an office environment within a manufacturing facility.

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Create, release, distribute, and track work orders, travelers, technical drawings, and inspection sheets.
• Coordinate with procurement to confirm raw material availability and support on-time production.
• Monitor production progress, identify delays, and help resolve manufacturing bottlenecks.
• Maintain accurate work-order status and production data in ERP/MRP systems.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, quality, and production activities.
• Process Engineering Change Orders, update production documents, archive obsolete records, and maintain traceability.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in production planning, documentation coordination, or related manufacturing roles.
• Experience in aerospace/defense or high-mix/low-volume machining environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as MS Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle, plus strong Excel skills.
• Knowledge of revision control and basic configuration management practices, with strong attention to detail and organization.
• Must be a U.S. Person, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government export authorizations; national security clearance or eligibility may be required.
