TL;DR
Production Scheduler (Propulsion) (Aerospace): Developing and maintaining executable production schedules for propulsion hardware with an accent on factory capacity, material availability, engineering readiness, and manufacturing constraints. Focus on balancing workload across manufacturing cells, recovering late or blocked hardware, and improving ERP/MES scheduling accuracy and production predictability.

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite. Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under ITAR/EAR regulations.

Salary: $90,000–$125,000 per year, plus potential stock options and benefits.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain integrated production and master schedules for propulsion hardware.
  • Sequence manufacturing work based on material readiness, capacity, production priorities, and engineering releases.
  • Evaluate labor, machine, inspection, and manufacturing-cell capacity to identify bottlenecks and recommend schedule adjustments.
  • Verify materials, drawings, BOMs, routings, and work instructions are ready before production starts.
  • Support daily factory execution, schedule recovery, escalation of delivery risks, and alignment with program commitments.
  • Improve scheduling processes, ERP/MES data quality, reporting, metrics, and dashboards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning, production control, or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and capacity planning.
  • Experience with ERP, MRP, or MES systems.
  • U.S. Person status or eligibility to obtain an applicable U.S. export license is required.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of production scheduling, planning, production control, or manufacturing operations experience.
  • Experience with high-mix, low-volume aerospace or defense manufacturing, propulsion, precision machining, fabrication, or assembly.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 environments and production scheduling software.
  • Advanced Excel, data analysis, SQL, or Python skills.
  • Experience with Manufacturo, Coupa, Jira, Teamcenter, or similar enterprise systems.
