Team Lead, Vehicle Operations (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Southern California, United States; on-site for all scheduled shifts

Base salary: $102,000–$156,000 per year, plus potential RSUs, stock appreciation rights, and sign-on bonus.

Zoox is developing an autonomous mobility solution and scaling robotaxi operations.

What you will do

• Lead and support vehicle operators in daily operations while maintaining a safety-centric and inclusive communication culture.
• Manage timesheets, expenses, schedules, performance feedback, and other team administration.
• Coordinate with other team leads and program/project managers to align vehicle operations with organizational goals.
• Become a subject-matter expert in proprietary vehicle operations software and mentor employees and contingent workforce personnel.
• Conduct recurring software and hardware testing with a strong focus on safety.
• Use operational metrics to drive process and product improvements with product and program management teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in a cross-functional, product-based environment.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience promoting teamwork and collaborating in complex environments.
• Proven problem-solving skills and experience improving operational efficiency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues.
• Excellent driving history and ability to work on-site at the assigned location for all scheduled shifts.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree.

• 3+ years in the autonomous vehicle industry.
• 4+ years of operations experience.
