Sr. Spacecraft Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $135,000–$175,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Own technical activities across the spacecraft product lifecycle, from concept and design through manufacturing, testing, and verification.
• Design and integrate spacecraft subsystems, including propulsion, power, communications, and thermal control.
• Define and manage subsystem specifications, interface control documents, system architectures, requirements, allocations, and verification methods.
• Perform system analyses, simulations, trade studies, and satellite mass, power, and link-budget assessments.
• Work with government and commercial customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to define mission requirements and technical solutions.
• Lead system design reviews, test planning, requirements verification, validation, and resolution of technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in spacecraft systems engineering or a similar discipline.
• Familiarity with satellite systems, subsystems, program lifecycles, development flows, test events, and verification and validation.
• Familiarity with requirements mapping and decomposition, including traceability from mission objectives to component specifications.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, SolidWorks, STK, and Linux.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance are required.
