Senior Systems Engineer- Development

Salary: $129,700–$158,400 USD per year for California

What you will do

• Define and manage system, subsystem, and component requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Flow key performance parameters and customer needs into traceable hardware and software requirements.
• Develop and maintain system architectures using Model-Based Systems Engineering diagrams.
• Define hardware, software, and firmware interfaces and maintain interface control documentation.
• Perform trade studies, impact analyses, and design analyses to support development decisions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and contribute to integration, verification, and validation planning.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace, or a similar field.
• At least 5 years of industry experience, or at least 3 years with an MS degree, preferably spanning concept to delivery.
• Experience establishing a technical baseline and managing requirements with tools such as JAMA, Polarion, or DOORS.
• Experience with MBSE tools such as SparxEA or Capella.
• Experience with Python or a similar object-oriented language and Git/GitHub.
• Must meet applicable U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with RF systems such as radar, communications, electronic warfare, or phased arrays.
• Experience in system safety and reliability engineering.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with a collaborative approach.
• Experience anticipating project blockers, delays, and cost risks.
