What you will do

  • Design mechanical elements of automotive HMI systems, including displays, cameras, sensors, enclosures, and electro-optical components.
  • Develop mechanical packaging and layouts for specific vehicle lines in collaboration with contract manufacturers and internal engineering teams.
  • Create, approve, and release component and assembly drawings.
  • Develop DFMEA, FMA, quality-system documentation, and root-cause investigations.
  • Work with child-part suppliers and design prototype parts, fixtures, and assembly solutions.
  • Develop test and evaluation regimes and contribute to design reviews and presentation materials.

Requirements

  • Prior mechanical engineering experience at a Tier 1 electromechanical supplier or automotive OEM.
  • Experience working in an automotive mechanical engineering and multidisciplinary engineering environment.
  • Experience with CATIA V5.
  • Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent training.
  • Experience with GD&T, electrical, optical, thermal, or NVH systems is beneficial.
  • Ability to work onsite at the Santa Clara, CA facility.
