Mechanical Engineer-OEM

Location: Cupertino, CA; onsite position. Includes 20% travel to manufacturing partners and client sites as needed.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of mechanical components, including enclosures and structural parts, from concept validation through mass production.
• Coordinate design, procurement, sales, customers, suppliers, and factories as a technical liaison.
• Define product requirements with clients and assess feasibility across design, cost, quality, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Support business development through technical input for customer meetings, RFQs, and project scoping.
• Guide contract manufacturers and suppliers on quality, cost, and timeline expectations.
• Lead or support NPI activities, production ramp-up, and factory readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical product development or project engineering, preferably in OEM or consumer-electronics manufacturing.
• Hands-on knowledge of CNC machining, stamping, casting, and surface treatment processes.
• Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Creo and a basic understanding of GD&T.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and component suppliers across Asia, plus customer relationship and product-realization skills.
• Bilingual Mandarin proficiency required.
