Concept Architect, Platform (Automotive)

Location: Novi, Michigan, United States; onsite 4–5 days per week. Regular in-person meetings, company events, and occasional travel are required.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

hirify.global is developing electrified, digitized pickup trucks and rugged SUVs, including all-electric and range-extended powertrain platforms.

What you will do

• Conceptualize and develop the range-extended electric vehicle platform, including the chassis, drivetrain, battery pack, range extender, and structural components.
• Collaborate with concept, systems, and engineering architecture teams to solve technical and functional challenges through 3D CAD packaging proposals.
• Review technical systems and propose engineering improvements and customer-experience enhancements.
• Develop scalable platform architecture, vehicle integration concepts, and 3D inputs for simulation environments.
• Create 2D and 3D drawings, specifications, design documentation, and platform design guidelines.
• Build prototype architectures for physical verification and computer-based stress testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Design, or a related field; a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is also required.
• 6+ years of automotive concept engineering experience, including platform or variant concept leadership, module selection, and modification.
• Proficiency with CAD and design visualization tools such as CATIA V5, Teamcenter, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or NX.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and JIRA; PLM experience is highly appreciated.
• Familiarity with IIHS/NHTSA, SAE, and C/FMVSS automotive safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and global environment.
