Director, Test Engineering (ATE)

Location: Remote in Taiwan; right to work in Taiwan required. The role supports OSAT operations in Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, and Manila.

What you will do

• Lead a team of leads and engineers responsible for product sustaining activities and volume ramps.
• Manage OSAT test engineering activities, build relationships with OSAT partners, and improve delivery against quarterly targets.
• Address test engineering issues and expand or migrate test capacity across OSATs.
• Own product cost roadmaps and test capacity expansion for high-volume products.
• Release test programs, support high-volume production, and resolve test escapes and yield excursions.
• Optimize test time and flows while collaborating with product development teams to close coverage gaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 12+ years of related experience.
• Experience as a senior manufacturing leader with ATE experience and familiarity with OSAT systems and processes.
• Experience with Teradyne NXT, Advantest T2K, Teradyne UFLEX, Advantest T2000, Teradyne UltraFlex, or equivalent testers.
• Experience managing production processes, project management, analytical work, process controls, and quality controls.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to work with ASE engineering and planning teams.
• Knowledge of loadboard and probecard design, socket selection, and handler integration.
• Experience with extreme-temperature testing and characterization on ATE.
• Experience with test program methodologies, handler and tester maintenance, and probe card and loadboard maintenance.
• Knowledge of test setup procedures and requirements, problem-solving abilities, Leadscan, and test back-end operations.
