TL;DR
Technical Spares PLM Director (Semiconductor Equipment): Developing and qualifying alternate spare-part solutions for semiconductor equipment, translating customer requirements into specifications, test plans, and business cases with an accent on part performance, process integration, and customer value. Focus on coordinating engineering, sales, field service, labs, and customers, evaluating repair and advanced-material opportunities, and deploying resources to achieve spares business goals.

Location: Hsinchu, Kaohsiung, Taichung, or Tainan, Taiwan. Travel required up to 20% of the time. Relocation eligible.

What you will do

  • Review the viability and value of Tier 1 customer requests for spare-part continuous improvement projects with Process Engineering, Sales, and Field Service Operations.
  • Translate customer technical requirements for part performance into specifications and test plans for AGS support functions.
  • Evaluate opportunities involving repair, advanced cleaning, sensors, self-diagnostics, advanced surface materials, and relaxation of non-value-added tolerances and specifications.
  • Develop internal documentation for alternate part solutions, including business cases and sales collateral for product managers, sales teams, and field engineers.
  • Support qualification plans and data packages with account teams, customers, laboratory tools, and the EPIC Center.
  • Recommend to the General Manager how to deploy resources effectively to achieve spares business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience with semiconductor equipment and leading-node fab requirements.
  • Systems-level mindset covering process, hardware, devices, and total cost of ownership per wafer.
  • Data-driven and hypothesis-oriented approach.
  • Strong ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to translate technical insights into practical application solutions.
  • Ability to manage external customer deadlines and internal customers with competing objectives.

Nice to have

  • Mandarin and English language skills.
  • Extensive experience with semiconductor tools and processes related to PVD, dielectric deposition, or etch.
